One of our flagship job creation initiatives is the Sanlam Investors’ Legacy Range, launched at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to preserve jobs in the short term and create additional jobs through the funds’ investments over the coming decade.
This fund has made substantial investments into the Cavalier Group, Absolute Pets and Q-Link, which is expected to create over 550 direct jobs and 1,700 indirect jobs, with more investments and job creation to come.
Our private debt business has been funding the growth of SMEs for over a decade and this was amplified through COVID-19. This fund alone approved loans of almost R300 million for businesses which are expected to create over 1,500 direct jobs.
